Is there any way to find out the version of the software I want to insta.l...before installing it ?
For example :

not in popular apps. some apps are installed by download and there isn't an actual repository so the information isn't available. I tried at one time to scrap website to get the version informatin but that method was not relaible because websites change quite a bit.
apps installed that way from popular apps are usually the latest available from the source.

@~FLOW~ , you can use Synaptic Package Manager which will show it if it doesn't show using the MX Package Installer.
I am command line illiterate. I copy & paste to the terminal. Liars, Wiseguys, Trolls, and those without manners will be added to my ignore list.

Not really, you can't find anything like teamviewer or anydesk.
May I add that this is an amazing distro ?! It's like the best blend of all the distros, including Arch and Debian.
It feels like it hits so good that sweet spot !!
I hope you can make it even more stable.
