JayM wrote: Fri May 28, 2021 7:46 am Interesting idea. Maybe @Auro Kumar Sahoo or someone could make a mascot logo based on a public domain or Creative Commons image?
I will be happy trying. But team should first give an idea about the mascot.

Agree with asqerth, we don't need one. A comment on earlier posts: Penguins do not live at the south pole. They need water to feed and thus are
found around the Antarctic edges. We have them here, little Blues nesting and living at 37 degrees south. Certainly not freesing.

From first few lines of wikipedia page:
Its Woods Cree names "mâthi-môs" and "mâthi-mostos" translate to "ugly moose" and "ugly bison", respectively.
Reminds me of patito-feo: "ugly" duckling! Even latest MX name is similar to that local language translation of the muskox...

Personally, I'm not for or against a mascot. However, I don't think the muskox has the goatee-beard like the gnu animal proudly hangs off its chin...
Still something new from MX would be entertaining (with no news of MX21, need something to scratch the back over these days!).

In the UK a "mascot" means a good luck charm. I don't think MX Linux really needs one of those.
