wallpaper/background size for creation of art

just wonderng: what is the correct resolution and i take 300 dpi for creatine wallpapers/background for possible use here either for MX or just other people?

I have some nice work but the original sizes are smaller and off sized artworks. But was wondering if i had something that might be nice to offer here the original would have to be at a sugessted/required size/dimension. Thanks in advance.

The wiki has some guidelines. Although, I do not think it has all the specs you are looking for. Asqwerth should be able to fill you in on detailed specs.
