Have you seen Sardi, yet?

It's just my opinion but if you are seeking an excellent, well-designed, incredibly robust icon theme, I think Erik DuBois' work is hard to beat.

I quite like his collection of icons. I myself use them once in a while in my own distro installs.

But at the back of my mind I'm cautious because his icon sets are generally co-opted/adapted from the original creators. No doubt with permissive open source licences it's generally ok and he does add a lot of new icons to all his sets (including icons for the various MX Tools!).

But I was using the original Ardis and Ursa (square version) long ago, and the creator was Kotusworks.

I've always been unclear - which bits are GPL and what bits were under a Creative Commons No Derivatives licence?

It's fine for individual users to download and use the icons from his sourceforge page, of course. I'm just wary about recommending adding it to MX repos.

I didn't know vinceliuice is now into icons as well. Thanks for the heads up. Looks good, like his themes.

BTW, because his themes are generally based on Arc, they will theme flatpak apps nicely, so long as you install the flatpak version of arc themes on your system.
