Site Rejects Chromium & Firefox?
The medishare health cooperative site is refusing to communicate with either Chromium or Firefox.
They say to use Chrome, but besides hating the thought of anything-google, I don't even see an
option to load Chrome.
This is being tried on an older install of MX-16.
Thanks

Re: Site Rejects Chromium & Firefox?
Try changing the Useragent. Have your browser "identify" as Chrome.
Re: Site Rejects Chromium & Firefox?
like this:
Firefox -> about:config
add new: general.useragent.override
value:
Code: Select all
Mozilla/5.0 (Windows NT 10.0; Win64; x64) AppleWebKit/537.36 (KHTML, like Gecko) Chrome/69.0.3497.100 Safari/537.36
or/and you can set side specific overrides
like this example for duckduckgo.com:
add new: general.useragent.override.duckduckgo.com
value:
Code: Select all
Mozilla/5.0 (X11; Linux x86_64) AppleWebKit/537.36 (KHTML, like Gecko) Chrome/69.0.3497.100 Safari/537.36
EDIT: added side-specific overrides

GeForce GTX 770, Samsung SSD 850 EVO 500GB, Seagate Barracuda 4TB

Re: Site Rejects Chromium & Firefox?
An extension which might do the trick:
User-Agent Switcher
https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefo ... aswitcher/

Re: Site Rejects Chromium & Firefox?
Those solutions work for Firefox. I dunno about Chromium.
Re: Site Rejects Chromium & Firefox?
Hmme, Chromium: will present itself as "Chrome" user-agent,
Code: Select all
Mozilla/5.0 (X11; Linux x86_64) AppleWebKit/537.36 (KHTML, like Gecko) Chrome/69.0.3497.92 Safari/537.36
Gigabyte Z77M-D3H, Intel Xeon E3-1240 V2 (Quad core), 32GB RAM,
GeForce GTX 770, Samsung SSD 850 EVO 500GB, Seagate Barracuda 4TB

Re: Site Rejects Chromium & Firefox?
In Chrome, I use User-Agent Switcher extension.
I presume it probably works with Chromium as well.
But I suspect your problem isn't Chrome, but rather the user agent presents itself as Linux instead of Windows.

Son, someday all this will belong to your ex wife.

Re: Site Rejects Chromium & Firefox?
Without the actual URL that is unobtainable, being provided it's difficult to check out.
If it's this one ( https://mychristiancare.org/medi-share/) I can report it works fine in Waterfox natively.

I have no problem with Opera, my go-to browser, on that site.

Re: Site Rejects Chromium & Firefox?
I'm updating that pc to the latest MX-17 right now - so I can't get to the specific page.
It's some form or something that's misbehaving ...
I'll get back here with specifics as soon as can.
Meanwhile, I'm trying to remember where to put a symlink for Firefox/Mozilla to the folder that contains the Profile with her Address Book, etc ...
Thanks!
