How to make your own avatar

HOW TO MAKE YOUR OWN AVATAR

First crop, choose or draw your picture.
Fine detail will be lost in downsizing.
Make sure you are not using something that may be copyright.

Next resize your picture.
It needs to be 120pixels x 120pixels (62.64Kb) maximum.

Open the picture in Gwenview.
Select Edit then Resize.
Type in 120 and save. (Portrait style pics may need to be smaller).

Now to upload it.
Select User Control Panel (in the dark blue strip at the top of the Forum page).
Under Options select Profile and then Edit Avatar.
Choose Upload from your computer.
Use the Browse button to find your picture. Click open and the name appears in the box.
Then click Submit.

If it is rejected as too large, do another Gwenview resize and upload again.
