Till it's found out what causes that, you can try

Code: Select all

xfce4-panel -r
when that happens, and if that works you can create a hotkey (from "Keyboard"), then just press it to make it even simpler.

First it happen with a music player ( lollypop ) and with the web browser (chrome) but not with Files or terminal , but I could not get it to restart, the error: Failed to restart the panel
GDBus.Error:org.freedesktop.DBus.Error.ServiceUnknown: The name org.xfce.panel was not provided by any .service files

You can also try this:

Menu => "MX Tweak" .. the initial tab...

First (if you like only) take a backup of the current panel using that option, then re-create the "default" panel, then (maybe after a reboot or re-login) try there...

If it's still the same: Create a new user wth 2 clicks ("MX User Manager") and login with that and try there (just to see if there's something system-wide)

It looks like a generic issue related to GTK3 (cause it was solved here just disabling gtk3) and/or python 3.x. (... sadly Xfce 4.14+ is gtk3).. Also, not an MX or Xfce specific issue since the same is with Gnome , KDE Neon, OpenSuse etc.

(Just... have you tried a different theme?)

(In the meantime, one of the warnings is about orage.clock )
