change default rofi?
change default rofi?
I'm thinking of changing the rofi theme and layout for the next (point?) release. My current preference is to combine drun (menu), window and calc. Without any modified colors etc., this is my working model. I want to get a link to the Help file in the bottom panel if at all possible.
Thoughts? Ideas?

That looks nice. I'm using an Ark-Dark theme with the run command as well.

This is my Fluxbox . There are many others like it, but this one is mine. My Fluxbox is my best friend. It is my life.
I must master it as I must master my life. Without me, my Fluxbox is useless. Without my Fluxbox, I am useless.

Re: change default rofi?
For very different look I am also attracted to and currently using sidebar.rasi, here with addy's minima tint2:

Re: change default rofi?
I quite like the current rofi setup with only drun. Not sure I have a use case for the window or calc tabs, but maybe that's just me.
Sidebar layout is interesting. Intended as an alternative or replacement for xfce app launcher?
Default rofi with neutral colouring is a good idea. A help button would be useful for new users. If buttons are possible, I'd vote for a button to automatically start rofi-theme-selector.

Re: change default rofi?
I have it now just drun and filebrowser, two that I would use a lot. Filebrowser is super fast.
I've been looking through documentation on buttons and such, not having luck so far.

Re: help tab - in case you haven't got this far already, this seems to work
edit modi line in config.rasi to
and save this as an executable file named help in ~/.config/rofi
(The paths can be changed to someplace else if you don't want to put stuff in .config/rofi)

Re: change default rofi?
Works well! In the long run I will probably restrict the help to rofi (including your new app), add a bit of text and provide some links.

Re: change default rofi?
This is mine "MX-comfort"-like theme based on sidetab-adapta theme, that was previously based on sidetab theme by deadguy.
The buttons are: drun | windows | run with some symbols coming from the awesome-font from the MX-repository.
I have improved colors to match the MX-comfort-dark style and the default panel.
