You can have the xfce4-hardware-monitor-plugin panel item display your current RAM and swap usage, though it will take a bit of configuration to have it do so. Once you have it set up just the way you like, you can have MX Tweak save your panel configuration so it's easily restored if your panel ever does get messed up.

What browser are you using?
HP 15; ryzen 3 5300U APU; 500 Gb SSD; 8GB ram
Aspire V5-571; CPU Intel I3; 500 GB SSD; Intel 2nd Gen Graphics; 8 GB Ram
Aspire XC-866; i3-9100; UHD 630; 8 GB ram; 1TB HDD
In Linux, newer isn't always better. The best solution is the one that works.

Mines not a Macbook

But experiencing lockups after a few hours of running. Got it to the point where fdisk needed being done on /dev/sda2 where / sits because it could not find the kernel to boot. My inxi in my thread shows my file system used.
Fixed it with live session of MX using " Check" in gparted with /dev/sda2 unmounted during my live session.
Long story short. Smart test. Ebay. Ordered a HP takeout drive out of a new computer for a SSD upgrade .Price was 13 bucks for a 500 gig platter drive. When it comes in. I'll dd the the old hard drive to the new.
Instead of backup. Erase. Reinstall. Insert backups.
Edit: in case you don't notice. That is a I3 touchscreen laptop newer than most. The hard drive still is becoming toast slowly but surely.
