The antiX-19.b2_x64-full.iso booted as an attched virtual DVD drive within
Hyper-V virtual machine in Windows 10 64bit (1903 - latest update) in both variants:

-> Hyper-V Gen1 (BIOS-mode)
and
-> Hyper-V Gen2 (UEFI-mode)

with default working Tsplash using the manually added boot options

xorg=fbdev video=hyperv_fb:1600x900

With the Boot Rescue Menus I could also boot into the already installed MX Linux within Hyper-V Gen2/UEFI mode.
:puppy:
Gigabyte Z77M-D3H, Intel Xeon E3-1240 V2 (Quad core), 32GB RAM,
GeForce GTX 770, Samsung SSD 850 EVO 500GB, Seagate Barracuda 4TB

Simply Amazing ...

Just installed - fast, very fast - ICE is beautiful too - regular dock, none of the sidewinder
weirdo stuff ... excellent execution ... tried to install .deb file [skype] - no go - also not
in repos - is it simply too early in the dev cycle, having said that, everything simply just
works, much like your previous effort - even able to change my boot .jpg image, which
is a first - have never been successful before, despite 10~20 MX installations ...

Very clean interface ...huge potential .. this might indeed be the distro-hopper-stopper :number1:

Highest Regards

Jack

I played with it for a few minutes after installation. Poor Man's Radio is kind of neat. I found out that the netbook's speakers actually still work, though they sound pretty bad like most laptop speakers do. I'll try to test it some more in the next few days and see if I can find anything wrong-ish. It is pretty fast.

cli-aptix refers to qupzilla, but is is not available and is replaced by Falkon. Perhaps Falkon needs to be in the list instead?

Chris

thanks for the report. I've been going thru the MX versions of the pkglist files, and the antiX ones need many of the same changes. I'll get those to anti.

I've already updated all of these for MX, so its easy to drop into antiX.

(In General) All you need to do is go on updating as ever.

Code: Select all

sudo apt update && sudo apt upgrade -y
By time it will turn into stable "silently". (No signs or notifications as "beta1" "beta2" or "stable" etc..).

The difference is; by the date the stable .iso is available, you'll have reached that point step by step (updating) and someone else at once (downloading the latest iso that day..)..
