antiX-17.4.1 now out

#1 Post by anticapitalista »

This is really just a bugfix point release to address the problem of the ‘Expired key’ that anyone downloading 17.4 would immediately have to fix.

As usual, the following completely systemd-free flavours for both 32 and 64 bit architecture are offered:

antiX-full (c1GB) – 4 windows managers – IceWM (default), fluxbox, jwm and herbstluftwm plus full libreoffice suite.

antiX-base (c680MB so fits on a cd) – 4 windows managers – IceWM (default), fluxbox, jwm and herbstluftwm.

antiX-core (c330MB) – no X, but should support most wireless.

antiX-net (c170MB)- no X. Just enough to get you connected (wired) and ready to build.

The 32 bit version uses a non-pae kernel.

antiX with runit - lean and mean.

Richard, the torrents should be working...are you seeing the "I am not a robot" recaptcha? Need to click that first.

Let me know if they are not working and what error you are seeing.

Yes, I did the Recapcha several times.
Not on computer at the moment.

I wanted the 386-Full, did the Recapcha but nothing ever started. I think I was just too early.
All my attempts showed 0 of 0 peers. And only 17.4 was available on the mirrors.

I'll try again tonight if all is well with my connection.

Not a problem, my 17.3.1 snapshot is good --just that old curiosity bug.

The problem is that while you click "I'm not a robot" you do look like one...

Yeah, probably. :) Kinda felt that way.

I wondered why a torrent file needs so much protection? Solve a Recapcha on each access.
Just curious --not a problem.

I got this one:
ERROR: Google reCAPTCHA verification failed. Do you have JavaScript enabled?
Which tells me: I need ask Google to get permission to download a torrent file.

We use Google recaptcha. That is what is on this forum, the website, and the antix forum. The wordpress plugins we use expect you to use google recaptcha.
