We now have the latest CopyQ 3.3.0 in our test repository, backported from Debian testing now that it's in the mothership's repositories.
Edit: for more features, also install the copyq-plugins package. It's only recommended, so MX will not add it by default.
CopyQ is a very featureful Qt-based clipboard manager.
CopyQ monitors system clipboard and saves its content in customized tabs. Saved clipboard can be later copied and pasted directly into any application.
Items can be:
* edited with internal editor or with preferred text editor,
* moved to other tabs,
* drag'n'dropped to applications,
* marked with tag or a note,
* passed to or changed by custom commands,
* or simply removed.
Features:
* Support for Linux, Windows and OS X 10.9+
* Store text, HTML, images or any other custom formats
* Quickly browse and filter items in clipboard history
* Sort, create, edit, remove, copy/paste, drag'n'drop items in tabs
* Add notes or tags to items
* System-wide shortcuts with customizable commands
* Paste items with shortcut or from tray or main window
* Fully customizable appearance
* Advanced command-line interface and scripting
* Ignore clipboard copied from some windows or containing some text
* Support for simple Vim-like editor and shortcuts
* Many more features

Re: MX 17 Repository: The CopyQ Thread
Installed fine and parked itself in the tray when run. I tried a number of the basic functions and had a look at the documentation. Everything worked as advertised and CopyQ is a very useful tool. I find Clipit more convenient for my relatively simple needs - it requires fewer clicks for the operations I most commonly use. I don't think it's worth investing my time in learning CopyQ's keyboard controls, which would probably make things faster.
I will leave it installed - I could be tempted to try again some time.

Thanks for the test report!
Re: MX 17 Repository: The CopyQ Thread
I have been using it since yesterday and have had no issues with it. I do like it and will retire clipit.

CopyQ is the best. Be sure to check out its Snippets plugin. Nice to see the latest version made easily available here for everyone.

Re: MX 17 Repository: The CopyQ Thread
Hi, would it be possible to update CopyQ to the latest version in the main repos?
I am using MX 17 and ran into the decryption bug in v3.6.0 described here: https://github.com/hluk/CopyQ/issues/1016 , so I haven't been able to access any of my encrypted tabs since the update to 3.6.0.
The developer says he has already fixed the bug in a newer version.
Thanks very much for your time.
