Open file error on network / LibreOffice

#1 Post by jyjoe »

A l'aide

Code: Select all

libreoffice --view --calc
ou essayez d'ouvrir avec

libreoffice-gnome : "This package contains the GIO support."
So we might install it per default, shouldn't we?

@ dolphin_oracle - a bit off topic... could you please add also the LibreOffice quick start package :-)?

PPC if you mean “LibreOffice-systray. This package provides a "QuickStarter" for the notification area of desktops.” that's already available via Synaptic.

@dolphin_oracle and @PondLife - I should have been more detailed in my comment, sorry about that...
Yes I mean "LibreOffice-systray", and I know that it's available via synaptic (I installed it that way) but when I first fired up LibreOffice and tried to use the quickstart option I was left scratching my head thinking why that was not available in LO options... So having that small package (51,2 kb) already installed by default could save some (like me, less aware) users that use it to run a faster (very old) pc for productivity. But I realise most computers no older than say... 5 years get any real improvement starting LO that way, and if you keep adding every small package users asked you to, the system would end up a bloatwear mess in no time...
