We found during the development of MX-17 that certain BT adapters would not work. I will take a look back at those threads to see the details, and return later today.
Production: 5.10, MX-23 Xfce, AMD FX-4130 Quad-Core, GeForce GT 630/PCIe/SSE2, 16 GB, SSD 120 GB, Data 1TB

I get to activate the bluetooth after manually sending the notebook to the standby mode, after lifting the lid the bluetooth starts, funny and wrong, but at least that's it!)))

Re: Bluetooth Adapter can not be activated

Doing the "Suspend" thing my Bluetooth App is now active and shows that Bluetooth is turned on. Front pane led is also lit.
However cannot see any devices and vice versa - the laptop is not seen by other bluetooth device!

The computer is an HP Pavilion X360 2 in 1 (year 2014) came with W8.1 then I placed W10 x64 all the hardware works in this operating system.
Now I only use MX17 and it does not recognize the bluetooh, in other distributions Mint-KDE, OpenSUSE and Deepin with some settings it worked but it does not work with MX17
When executing the command I get this:

$ dmesg | grep Blue
[ 22.830706] Bluetooth: Core ver 2.22
[ 22.830738] Bluetooth: HCI device and connection manager initialized
[ 22.830744] Bluetooth: HCI socket layer initialized
[ 22.830747] Bluetooth: L2CAP socket layer initialized
[ 22.830756] Bluetooth: SCO socket layer initialized
[ 23.636854] Bluetooth: BNEP (Ethernet Emulation) ver 1.3
[ 23.636860] Bluetooth: BNEP filters: protocol multicast
[ 23.636873] Bluetooth: BNEP socket layer initialized

What can be done?

Yesterday I installed MX17 (January 2018) on a Compaq Presario Verk 21 laptop (2016) and I immediately recognized the bluetooth adapter and was able to pair it with headphones and the two cell phones without any problem.
On my other laptop an HP Pavilion I have not succeeded, and consulting seems that HP put problem with bluetooth on GNU / Linux

$ sudo rfkill list
[sudo] password for ghermain:
0: phy0: Wireless LAN
Soft blocked: no
Hard blocked: no
1: hci0: Bluetooth
Soft blocked: no
Hard blocked: no

This is the result with the command:
