'MX LINUX LIGHTBLUE ABSTRACT:' here looks great on my desktop but when using a LIve USB it renders as if here was a low palate count and decreased colours with pixeled abrupt gradients, instead of the imperceptible gradient I expected. I double checked but can't account for this and just wonder if anyone else noticed something similar?

My favorite is the Pink Wave--try to avoid all blues, though I like the grayish one a lot.

I still don't know why the Live USB shows as below but I think the image is fine, as I did download from the source initially to be sure as you suggest. A live USB specific issue?

Could be, bare in mind that image is 2560*1440 16.9 & 3.4MB maybe the live session is changing the file format from png to jpeg to save on resources?

I will check it on my live usb in a min and report back.....

*edit* Just checked it from the live USB, downloaded to pictures folder, and selected it, look fine on mine, is it just that image that does it or does the default ones do it eg. kingfisher?
