I wonder, if nothing else, can we do the background just a shade lighter and the post title a bit darker for contrast? Not sure what the theme allows.
It would require hard coded changes. On my screen the contrast is perfect. It is difficult to accommodate all screens, and if the changes you suggest could be made it would cause problems with my display. There will always be individual preferences and we cannot accommodate all of them.
If a themes module becomes available, you might do well to consider it.

I have trouble reading posts since the forum change due to the contrast. Very washed out for me on my pcs. perfect on my phone though.

Always a possibility. May I suggest brightness/contrast settings of your monitor? It causes big differences in appearance, as I am sure you know.

You can suggest...

what would be OK is having all the posts look like the "last" post. on my screens, the "last" posts all have black text which is perfectly easy to read, but the other text does not look black (grayish, I don't know). (including the text in the reply boxes So replies are gray on white.)

Well there are dozens of themes, from dark to light to garish colors. We can look at others as time permits.

The phone display improvements alone are worth the upgrade. Very nice!

That seems like a reasonable position, Rich, given some of the responses. Won't happen in a hurry, though...

It would be nice if some could be implemented and then users could pick their preferred one using a drop down menu or something? Don't know what the standard is these days for phpbb.

My age is probably the reason I cannot see a user control panel. Can someone direct me?
Yes, even I am dishonest. Not in many ways, but in some. Forty-one, I think it is.

I did manage to find it. Thanks for the straight-man response.
