Short of KDE blowing up I'm going to be using it for the foreseeable future. I do try and spend half of my MX time in the default DE. I'm more familiar with KDE so it's easier for me to use.
Both have been very stable.

I was worried about Back-Ports also, however I decided that where Wheezy and Jessie were in their development cycle made it pretty safe to use the default repositories.
