Two Login Screens When Waking Up from Suspend with MATE <NOT SOLVED>

#1 Post by rbeltz48 »

I am running MX 18.3 with Xfce and MATE desktops. In the past week or so I have found that when I wake up my Lenovo T400 laptop from suspend I get two login screens when using the MATE desktop. The first shows a green-blue background for just a few seconds then goes to the main login screen where I can sign in. This does not happen when using the Xfce desktop. I wonder if an update caused this. Has anyone run into this problem and solved it?

That's kinda sorta similar to what I ran into with mx19 beta concerning login screen showing up for a few seconds, except in mx19 beta's case, it's when shutting down, and was told it's due to systemd, or lack-there-of.
Side note; It's probably just me, but I've had nothing but problems with mate desktop on mx.

This only started happening in the past week or so. Otherwise, MATE has run well on MX 18.3, as good as or better than Mint 19 MATE.
