fsv request

#1 Post by azrielle »

Would it be possible to add fsv (file system visualizer) to the test repo? Is a 3d visualizer:
fsv was partly inspired by fsn, the experimental 3D File System Navigator developed some time ago by Silicon Graphics. This program figured prominently in a scene from Steven Spielburg's hit film, Jurassic Park.

Fsv hasn't been updated since 2001 - and while I haven't tried it, GTK programs that old usually won't compile on modern systems without building a similarly old GTK as well.

However, I'm glad you brought up fsv because I had forgotten another excellent 3d filesystem visualizer that I packaged for MEPIS 11 and have never updated.
It's called Eaglemode and it is still undergoing development. The latest release is from July and I will try to get it in Test tomorrow.
