This was done yonks ago, so if you haven't seen it by now, you must be using an icon theme that completely does not have the "i" information icon.
Or have problems with the MX repo you selected, what MXPI version do you have?

The MXPI version I have is 18.6.2

Here's a screenshot of the repos which are enabled:

I have verified on my system it is the icon set. If you do not want the light bulb icons try the default icon set. which I think is one of the papirus themes.

The icon was changed in 17.6 (you should get shortly 17.8 but that has no bearing on icon) so you should have the new icon not the light bulb, what icon theme do you use?

I was using the Tango icon theme. I've changed to the Numix icon theme, and I now see the correct icon. Looks great!

Would it be possible to display a default light / dark icon in the PM which ensures the correct icon is displayed regardless of the system theme?

Thanks for the help.

I don't like apps that don't respect the Linux icon theme. We already have too much of that I think, Firefox for example. It's easy to modify an icon theme to suit your taste:

The good thing about MX apps is that they respect your GTK and icon theme IMO.
