MX17 - Live USB Maker GUI Changes **SOLVED

#1 Post by clicktician »

I update my USB drives every 2 or 3 days with the latest from the repositories and generate a new snapshot which I've recently started writing with Live USB Maker.

The Live USB Maker in MX Tools worked great up until Jan 3rd. I could create a live USB from an .iso I generated with mx-snapshot.
Then, after my next update on Jan 6, a different gui was presented with a text box containing "System" and a drop down containing only "Detected". An Apply and Close button were the actions.
When I hit Apply, it only allows me to Clone. I can no longer select a .iso.

I have attached an image of the before (Jan 3) and after (Jan 6) that contains the screen shots of the two gui presentations.

Perhaps it is supposed to work this way, and I should go back to using Rufus. But I also thought perhaps something got checked in by accident or maybe was accidentally reverted to an early version.

BTW: It is my pleasure to make another donation to the MX project. I've been an enthusiast since the 2014 release, and it just keeps getting better. Thank you for all you do for us.
