Hello.
When i try to install mp3gain i receive the next error message: "Depende: libasan0 (>=4.8) but it is not installable"
The library isn't available for installation.
From http://iso.mxrepo.com/antix/stretch/dis ... 4/Packages
Package: mp3gain
Version: 1.5.2-r2-6
Architecture: amd64
Maintainer: Fabrizio Regalli <fabreg@fabreg.it>
Installed-Size: 279

Any solution?
Thanks.

Re: MX 17: mp3gain problem with libasan0
Hmmm--I remember some discussion about that being broken in Stretch on the Debian forums, or else replaced by another similar package, but let me go looking for the thread. I remember it prompted me to put a fixed version in my multimedia OBS repo, so I'll just port that over to MX: https://build.opensuse.org/package/show ... rt/mp3gain
Re: MX 17: mp3gain problem with libasan0
It seems that mp3gain is not being maintained any longer, but I ported over the patched version from Ubuntu, as well as a GUI for it from jessie called easymp3gain-gtk or -qt (your choice). Also from deb-multimedia what might be mp3gain's replacement, aacgain:
They should be in the test repo soon.Description: Lossless mp4 normalizer with statistical analysis
AACGain normalizes the volume of digital music files using the Replay Gain
algorithm. It works by modifying the global_gain fields in the mp4 samples.
Free-form metadata tags are added to the file to save undo information,
making the normalization process reversable. It supports AAC
(mp4/m4a/QuickTime) audio files in addition to mp3 files.
.
AACGain uses the same command-line user interface as mp3gain

Hi Stevo.
I didn't know that aacgain is the replacement for mp3gain, i always use mp3gain with easymp3gain-qt.
Now I found the solution with your help. I add the repo deb-multimedia.org non-free to install aacgain and install easymp3gain-qt, i put like to backend for mp3 the aacgain and work correctly.
Thanks.
