If you translate the menu entries with underscores and leave the underscores,
the shortcut key may change, for example:
F_iles // F is the shortcut key
F_icheros // F is still the shortcut key

B_ookmarks // B is the shortcut key
F_avoritas // F is the shortcut key,

and if you left F_icheros in the same menu, F_avoritas shortcut will never work.

That's what I was afraid of. Think I'll leave all underscored words untranslated.

I left them as they were... didn't want to risk messing with them.

Thanks Zeh for that reply about Brazil. I have noted a continuing stream of Brazilians loading antiX/MX via torrents.

Richard, you've mistaken the place of the underscores. So, just to avoid any confusions: '_Copy' in the file strings gives 'Copy' in the app, and 'Cu_t' gives 'Cut'.
My experience with the underscores is not the same as yours. Only very seldom have I experienced any difficulties with the shortcuts via underscore. antiX and LibreOffice use them extensively, to give just two examples. My experience is that pressing consecutively in an underscored letter cycles the highlighting (selecting) through all entries that have that letter underscored.

As per my reply to Richard, I think you shouldn't be afraid of the underscores. The rules are straightforward. Well, unless I'm proven wrong...
And I think it's always better to have the strings translated instead of leaving them in English, except for words that have already entered the different languages, like software for instance.

The same for Eadwine, of course.

That's excellent!
I've seen that someone has translated quite a lot into pt_BR a couple of weeks ago. Hopefully he carries on with the translations.

@Zeh, yes, you're right. The underscore does preceed the shortcut letter.
