mx-cleanup needs translations

#1 Post by Old Giza »

Hello translators.

We have a new app on Transifex that needs translations: mx-cleanup. Because this app's functions were formerly part of the mx-user app, you will find that, in most cases, 24 of the 40 phrases have already been translated, leaving only 16 to do.

Please also fill in the Name and Comment entries for the desktop file by making a post in this thread using the code block below. And if you haven't done any translations for the MX project before and want to get involved, send me a personal message, or take a look at the translator's wiki article.

Code: Select all

Can you please remove "Program_Name" string, we don't need it translated, I probably forgot it somewhere on .ui file
/tmp, ~/thumbnails, ~/cache most likely don't need translation.

Can you please remove the long irrelevant portion "I went ahead...string of 4 or more words though" and start a separate thread with it somewhere? This one is dedicated to translating a desktop file and needs to stay on subject.

Eadwine: post in question removed
Production: 5.10, MX-23 Xfce, AMD FX-4130 Quad-Core, GeForce GT 630/PCIe/SSE2, 16 GB, SSD 120 GB, Data 1TB

Can you edit that post for me? I'm not sure what you're asking me since my entire answer had to do with the subject of this very posting ... translations for mx-cleanup.

Simply remove all from your post from the bit that starts with "I went ahead..." and ends with "string of 4 or more words though" and start a separate thread about it. If you ask us to remove it it will be gone, so it is best if you do it yourself.

Alright, never mind, just delete my answer as I'm obviously too stupid to work with posts that clearly state in the subject line ...

mx-cleanup needs translations

... which is exactly & precisely what I responded to. MX-Cleanup has a total of 40 strings which I went through, so how is that not relevant to the post? I noticed some issues with the translations for MX-cleanup which I mentioned, how is that not relevant to this post? I noticed that the manner in which German translations, primarily the ones for MX-Cleanup as I was working on those, were grammatically improper. How is that not relevant to this post? The original post did not start out with ... answer strictly & exclusively within the here included code block. If it had, I would have done that.
