The simple answer is that if you are using the default Thunderbird should already be on your XFCE Menus (I think I remember it being a default item... I could be wrong though.). If you install Thunderbird yourself using the MXPI Package Manager Thunderbird should be placed on your XFCE Menu automagically.
Did you do something to make it go away? Did you install T'bird using something other than MXPI? Inquiring minds might like to know that...

I do not remember why I decided to find thunderbird on the web rather than take it in a repository. But for the understanding of the creation of a launcher, I think it's worth to continue
hi! I didn't even remeber Mx had a menu editor! I have a Firefox version I downloaded from the web and I tried to add it to the menu- it worked like a charm. What I did:
1- open MX menu, typed "menu editor", selected Mx menu editor and opened it
2- clicled the add another aplication button on the bottom left, a new window pops up
3- on that window I entered name (FF), comment (FF downloaded from mozilla), icon (I browsed for it in ff folder) and, as a command, I pasted the full path of my firefox exec file (/home/[USER]/Transferências/firefox/firefox)
4- selected the "network" category and saved changes
My firefox, downloaded directly from the net, appeared right where it should on the menu...
In my experience there's nothing wrong with using Firefox or Thunderbird versions downloaded directly from Mozilla, they even update automatically!
Are you missing any of these steps?
Edit: TIP- to be sure you have the EXACT path to your exec file, you should select it from the file manager and copy it, then paste it in menu editor's "command" field....
in your case this should work:
/home/nicolas/telechargement/thunderbird/thunderbird
devrait fonctionner - le point initial est inutile
dans la commande chmod il est superflu de rendre tous les fichiers exécutables (*), le programme principal suffit (thunderbird dans ce cas)
