True, but he didn't say it was beeping, he said it was making a noise like the heads being parked which I took to mean a kind of "clunk" sound. :)

Strange. My HDD only makes a (parking beep) sound when power is cut (shutdown), but during restart the drive just keeps spinning so no noise during restart here.

Restart here is fine as well, no beeps.
