what kernel?

its often required when installing later kernels to also install new broadcom-sta-dkms package, as sometimes the older versions will not build on the newer kernels.

4.13 kernel. I've Uninstaller the dkms package and reinstalled a couple of times. I'm going to see if a live session grabs the WiFi and connects.
