[SOLVED] display unread mail count

#1 Post by shmu26 »

When my browser is open to Gmail, and I mouse over the icon, it shows me the unread mail count.
Is there a way to get the icon itself to display that?
I tried setting Window buttons to never group, but that didn't do it.

In Xfce it is called "button labels".
Right click on panel
Panel preferences/Items
Double click on "Window Buttons"
put a tick in "Show button labels"
This is mainly useful in a horizontal panel. If the panel is vertical, you need to make the panel pretty wide for the button labels to become useful.
