Very slow login

#1 Post by pierreplr »

Hi eveyone

For a few days now, my desktop is really slow to load when booting (automatic login). For one or two minutes, i see the screenpaper of my lightdm screen, with nothing on it, and then my screenpaper loads, with the dock and everything on it.

My install is recent and it was really fast at beginning, I have no idea what changed this.
I was wondering if there is any way to see a log file of everything that happens during this time of login.

On this picture are my autostarting services : https://ibb.co/Qj1GjTy

Any ideas ?

Thanks

[edit: thanks Eadwine Rose for your comment, I put an external link for the image.]

Bonjour,
Je ne peux pas me prononcer sur ton problème comme ça, mais l'image est quasiment illisible.

600x600 is often useless for readability. Why not force external links to open in a new tab or windows and allow links of any size, as opposed to limiting the size of in-line links.

What we are trying to avoid is large image attachments that are uploaded to the forum and large images from links to outside services. If linked to an outside service the link address is sufficient for a user to click on and take them to the full size image on the hosting site. One click should not be burdensome. We are not requiring that the mage on the hosting service be 600x600 if a link only to to larger image is on the hosting service
