[SOLVED]Recording skype session

#1 Post by mmikeinsantarosa »

I've recorded skype sessions using simplescreenrecorder in the past but it only captures the audio on the other end. My audio doesn't get captured. Anybody got a tip what I need to do to also capture my audio.

thanks in advance

if you can, use obs-studio. it can capture multiple sources of video and audio

Have a look at Vokoscreen (in the repos) if that one doesn't work.

Skype should be able to make recording now, not sure if the option is available only in Windows (I am not a big Skype user).

Recording via skype may be a windows only thing. There's supposed to be a more pick and I don't see that in our skype gui.

I can get OBS to record both audios but not the skype video. It'll capture my webcam just fine though.

Unless I can get this sorted out before 0730 PDT, I'll just record video via simple screen recorder and both audios via OBS and merge them later.
