Thunar file icons

#1 Post by Ray66 »

mxlinux 17 When opening Thunar or files then Documents files are showing data rather than icons
File names are under where icons should be and clearly readable
How do I get icons on these files ?

Thunar -> View
-> View as Icons Ctrl+1
-> View as Detailed List Ctrl+2
-> View as Compact List Ctrl+3

In "Icon View" you can place filename (text) beside Icons as @Jerry mentioned within File Manager Preferences.

I have tried all suggestions and only changing the text to side of icon works
I can not get an icon on the file it only shows small text where the icon should be
Looks like text from inside the file which is libre office data

Rather show us some screen dumps, as it is would be more clear what you want to achieve.

I think you are seeing the thumbnails of the file. You can turn off thumbnails in the thunar settings.
