what is the default or recommended 'DE' on mx?
if it's gnome, lots of ppl say plasma is far far far better
if it's plasma, there's seems to be lots of bugs on plasma, not sure they are significant tho -- https://www.dedoimedo.com/linux.html

Mention of XFCE
- dedoimedo's reviews of MX Linux 16 and 17 at the very least. And his article on what he views as the best XFCE distro of 2017 (ie, MX16).
- page 1 of the MX Linux manuals (under "Introduction")
- Distrowatch.com's page on MX Linux.

i wish they would just to have some bullet points on the front page or something
then it'll be simpler to find basic info
but i have no idea if it can even install via usb -- viewtopic.php?f=94&t=44170#p436339

You do not have to use a usb, can be burnt to dvd as well.
Re: what is the default or recommended 'DE' on mx?
I think it would be best if instead of referring to another thread in this thread, you actually post a little reminder in the actual thread and ask if anyone can help you with an answer to your question.
