Hi,
FYI: You can run this script below, as root: ...
I tried the script on my MX-16 install and all I got was a bunch of errors/warnings:

Code: Select all

Warning: Partition 1 does not end on cylinder boundary.
Warning: Partition 2 does not end on cylinder boundary.
Warning: Partition 3 does not end on cylinder boundary.
Warning: Partition 4 does not end on cylinder boundary.
Warning: Partition 5 does not end on cylinder boundary.
Warning: Partition 6 does not end on cylinder boundary.
Warning: Partition 7 does not end on cylinder boundary.
Warning: Partition 8 does not end on cylinder boundary.
Warning: Partition 9 does not end on cylinder boundary.
Warning: Partition 10 does not end on cylinder boundary.
Warning: Partition 11 does not end on cylinder boundary.
Warning: Partition 12 does not end on cylinder boundary.
Warning: Partition 13 does not end on cylinder boundary.
Warning: Partition 14 does not end on cylinder boundary.
Warning: Partition 15 does not end on cylinder boundary.
Warning: Partition 16 does not end on cylinder boundary.
Warning: Partition 17 does not end on cylinder boundary.
Warning: Partition 18 does not end on cylinder boundary.
Warning: Partition 19 does not end on cylinder boundary.
Warning: Partition 20 does not end on cylinder boundary.
Warning: Partition 21 does not end on cylinder boundary.
Warning: Partition 23 does not end on cylinder boundary.
Warning: Partition 22 does not end on cylinder boundary.
----------------------------------
I was able to get it to work by changing line 17 of the script from

this:

Code: Select all

fdisk -l | egrep -o "/dev/[[:alnum:]]+" | sort -V | uniq |

to this:

Code: Select all

fdisk.distrib -l | egrep -o "/dev/[[:alnum:]]+" | sort -uV |

Note I also removed the uniq and added the -u & -V [ -V = natural sort of (version) numbers within text ] options to the sort command.

Code: Select all

$ sudo ./GRUB_where_is-grub_installed.sh
