I agree with you tascoast. Something seems off here. If it is a bug in the installer then we might consider making MX-14.1.2 or at the least make an official announcement about ignoring the message.
BTW, when you say "it reproduced itself on a second live disc install" do you mean you got a similar disc warning that you think was bogus? Was the warning about the same hard drive or a different one?
Ah, putting it another way,
(I was intending to install on my home/root partitions that already have mx-14 from a earlier release/*.iso)
I selected the same two partitions my existing MX-14 occupies when running the latest *iso live, intending to install the newer release, and the error came up, so I rebooted and got the same thing again, an identical warning it seemed to me. The second time I took the screen shot for reference.
