boot parameters
boot parameters
a little while ago I was trying to ge mX14 working on a sony VAIO. I got it going and I really do appreciate the help you provided. One of the things I was told to try was to type vga=791 or vga=792 into the boot parameters. Today I was writing this into a file so I would have the instructions for when the time comes that I have to install it again and I was wondering what 791 and 792 mean and what the other variables are that go in there. Please, could someone let me what they do? Better yet, is there a page that teaches about the various boot parameters?
Re: boot parameters
You'll find some information here about the boot cheatcodes:
http://www.mepis.org/docs/en/index.php?title=Cheatcodes
MX has most of the MEPIS and antiX cheatcodes, but we probably need a better list of cheatcodes specifically for MX.

Re: boot parameters
Also, a web search on "vga=791" will clarify that for you.
