Documentation issues

#1 Post by Jerry3904 »

There are two important issues for this beta one cycle that I see.

Errors:
  • The pages on remaster and persistence need to be tested against MX-14. I have no idea whether what is written for antiX will work here
  • I am sure other stuff will come up...
Omissions:
  • Installation? Thinking of the various options available in particular
  • What else?
I will do the writing, but need notes to be able to use. If one person can take one, another person another, etc., then the work is less onerous.

TIA
Production: 5.10, MX-23 Xfce, AMD FX-4130 Quad-Core, GeForce GT 630/PCIe/SSE2, 16 GB, SSD 120 GB, Data 1TB
Personal: Lenovo X1 Carbon with MX-23 Fluxbox and Windows 10
Other: Raspberry Pi 5 with MX-23 Xfce Raspberry Pi Respin

I've never done a remaster or used persistence, but I can take a look at installation...to get started.

Mostly I think we need a guide on the opening live screen, since the installer seems pretty self-explanatory (though maybe there are obscure places now--we have a blow-by-blow in the Mepis Users Manual for M11 that could be adapted).

You can paste a draft here in a quote box for people to look at if you like.
