Should I replace "Beta 1" with its official version name?

Which is ...

My honest opinion: Beta 1 is my vote.

When I look at it from an outsider point of view seeing this mepis release for the first time, people rather have version numbers and alphas and betas than "collaboration" and such.
MX-23.2_x64 July 31 2023 * 6.1.0-20-amd64 ext4 Xfce 4.18.1 * 8core AMD Ryzen 7 2700

Samsung 860EVO * Samsung S24D330 & P2250 * HP Envy 5030

I was thinking he was talking about the iso name, not a codename.

Maybe keep the "Beta 1" and have the iso name in smaller print:
Beta 1 (MX-14.12.95.iso)
Or vice versa (print the iso name first)
MX-14.12.95.iso (Beta 1)
Btw, I'm guessing what the iso name might be.

Also you might omit the ".iso" extension.

I am reviewing MX.14-12.97 ATM.

From strictly an outsider/user view:

Why does the name need to be so complicated??

I can understand the developers needing all that gibberish to keep track of their newer versions; however, (and it is a big HOWEVER) users do not need all that stuff.

MX14 Beta 1, followed by MX14 Beta 2, etc. (there are lots of numbers available), should work quite well.

Then when final:

MX14, followed by MX14a, etc.

I'm a firm believer in the KISS principal.
