MX-Linux 17.1 xfce 12-5-2018 compiz ready.

#1 Post by jurgen69 »

fase 1 update the official mx linux 17.1 to snapshot may 2018

before you download or install or use this iso read this information first.

1/if you try to run it in vmware or virtualbox , be sure you have alot of gb in your ram and video , this demo have run compiz manager in the live iso out of the box. so it works in that demo allready
2/if you download it you can test in on your live main machine in a usb or sdcard by using usb live creator.
account is demo - password = demo
root = password root
3/ how to install this on a main machine or whatever , the installer is hidden and is not in front of the desktop like the official.
there are 2 maps on the desktop home folder and thrash folder , if you open home there is a folder call desktop , (there is your installer)

every thing on this first fase is like the official however , chrome is on that panel and compiz two , and compiz is allready activated.

Is it 64-bit or 32?

I also have questions about this being in the Development forum...

That sounds better. I am concerned about newcomers mistaking this for something from our own development team if it's in this section.

@jurgen69,
you messed up xdg-user-dirs, certainly good for me if I wanted to learn dutch.
Better mark in you subject line as community provided and tweaked snapshot!
Compiz work great within my 8GB empowerd virtualbox.
The first step I made was actually to uninstall chrome :p :eek:
If you don't mind would you also provide a digital signature instead of only a pure md5-sum
as I do not trust those md5sum's for verificytion anymore!

We could not host an ISO community submission on our MX servers or mirrors if it included Google Chrome without permission from the Google, either. Just keep that in mind.
