Hi,
I'm finally back to Linux after about 10 years away. simply had problems then with the UEFI and Efi stuff, didn't have much time to struggle with it.
Finally, I started just a few days ago, installed a few distros, till I finally installed MX KDE.
I'm not new to Linux as I started way back in 2000 with OpenSuse that time. But I can't pretend I am expert with Linux, I just can find my way (sometimes).
I'm really happy to be back to Linux, community, freedom, stability, security, performance.... it is a long long list.
I'll do my best to contribute and add something as I enjoyed it before.
I hope I am welcome, and I hope to have friends here, even personally I mean not just for support.
Cheers! Please keep in touch.

Welcome. Hopefully you've got the MX FAQ and Manual issue sorted out from your other thread, those two documents are great to get up to speed on MX Linux.

OpenSuse, huh? That was my gateway into Linux as well. I had failed to install Linux many times, and was stuck on Windows. Built a very early 64 bit Opteron machine, and suddenly, Windows couldn't make use of all the hardware. Looked to Linux again, experienced several failures due to hardware. Downloaded OpenSuse, and it just magically worked!! Full hardware support - YAY!!
I'm still an Opteron and Linux guy, and have never looked back.

As I mentioned I started like in 2000 after I had bad time and "abuse' from M$
At that time I said, well, it is impossible that banks, airlines... etc. are working with this Windoze, there must be another "serious" and reliable operating system.
I searched and found Mac, so I went to the show room, played with it, and I "intentionally" got it to crash!
I kept searching and found Linux(es), I kept reading and reading and found distrowatch as well. Opensuse (or maybe it was called just Suse at that time).
I ordered it. Once installed I lived so happy since then till they introduced the Uefi and EFI stuff. At that time I didn't have time to work around.
Finally I could get back and glad I'm on Linux again and MX in particular.
Thank you Runaway1956, I'm glad I again "belong" to a community.
