I'm not interested in gaming, but have seen some nice LG WIde screen IPS 2560 x 1080, do they help in productivity?

I have a 1920 x 1080 monitor. I need to up the text size or dpi to be able to see text. I cannot evaluate whether productivity is enhanced. What specifics do you mean by productivity?

EDIT: But it does occur to me that even with the text size I increase to, and higher dpi, in some cases in a browser, I still have to zoom the screen. So in that sense it inhibits productivity.

Like having a videom playing on one side of the monitor and me using wordprocessig,
or
having an ebook opened to the left of my WP in the center and few gimmicks on the right.

Sounds like you might want to consider dual monitors. I did ten years ago and would never go back.

I imagine that would improve with a wide screen.

1920x1080 here as well. Had chat screens and such on the left, work things on the right. Good eyes here so no need to adjust anything.

I now have a dual screen setup, and yes, that IS nice!

I have 2 Samsung monitors (1080p) 1 is 24 inch and 1 is 23 inch. How would I make so it's double screen? Both monitors have 1 HDMI, and my laptop has 1 HDMI as well. I can't see this 3 way going into a 1 way signal :frown:

You will probably need a docking station that supports dual hdmi ports.

Finding a docking station for 2 Samsung monitors that aren't the exact width is going to be a problem. Nu such thing as an HDMI that Can split in 2 I guess?
The monitors also have the outdated VGA and DVI connections, and composite

I have one monitor connected on the hdmi port, and the other on the DVI of the graphics card.

I have no idea if you can split or anything.
