The Package Installer has it on the Flatpaks tab.

Umm...take a peek in the test repo, maybe?

Repology can really help you out here, guys! https://repology.org/project/vidcutter/versions

If we want to be correct, Ubuntu does not have it in their repos. It's in a PPA for Ubuntu users.

You might as well say that Debian has it because I have an older version (for now) in my OBS repo for Jessie and Stretch:

So MX does have it, while Ubuntu does not! :p

Bad as it may be, I did just add 6.0 to my repo: https://build.opensuse.org/package/show ... vidcutter6

I did add a version of mpv 0.29.1 there which uses an internal build of ffmpeg 4.1 to get around the need for a system ffmpeg 4.1. It's also possible to build it for our main repo, but that package gets rid of libmpv1 in the repo, which some packages like vidcutter and mpc-qt need. You can have both installed at the same time, it's just that the repo gets rid of older packages unless you force them back in manually, unlike the OBS repo.

I've tried most of them, and found Openshot to suit my basic needs the best.

If you have zero experience of video editing, whichever you choose will present a fairly steep learning curve.
