Newbies and scripts do not mix well, as they have said many times on this forum.
But maybe all we do is have a description/caution, a download button, and a start button. On clicking the last, they are dropped out of X and off they go and keep hitting Return. That would save them some steps which they are not used to...

No the fear comes after sgfxi kills x, and the user reboots to a blank screen with a blinking cursor.
Then they fear working at the command line.

I am not a complete rookie, but that's where the script lead me. I reinstalled Mepis, no problem
There is more than dropping to level 3 and running. sgfxi has lots of options and switches available.
For me running, as I recall, with the -n flag works smoothly. I had to read the instructions. Duh...
