Laptop finally died

After 6 years of daily use, the HP Elitebook 8440p that I bought as a refurb finally gave up the ghost. Went to tuen it on and the fan ran full blast and all the indicator light came on - and nothing else.

Went to the Walmart website and started looking for a replacement. Walmart beats Amazon in many cases for refurb laptops. Anyway, found another Elitebook, a 2570p this time for $177. It's grade A (like new) with a I-5 3340, 4 GB RAM, and 320 GB spinner hard disk. It came in today and I put the 8 GB RAM and 500 GB SSD from the dead laptop in and off I went. Runs great and is pretty fast. I like the Elitebooks as they're built like tanks and are very easy to upgrade..
Life's tough, it's tougher if you're stupid...

I've got a 2560P Elitebook, they are solidly built. They are a little on the heavy side, but sticking an SSD in it in place of the hard drive lightened it a bit.
Hopefully you get many years of use out of your new machine.
