If you've not yet seen it, the 2002 video documentary: Standing in the Shadows of Motown is absolutely outstanding. Talk about quiet (well, kind of quiet) achievers...

youtube-dl did start working for me on the vimeo file. Whether it is the entire doco' or just an intro' I can't say, as I have it in its entirety already (so I'm not going to download it to find out for you... ;) )

Billie Holiday was the first concert I ever went to. It was at the old Sunnyside Pavillion on Lakeshore Bvld in Toronto and I was seven years old. My dad had gone to university in Chicago and had become a fan and he thought that it was important that I see her perform.

Fathers and Sons ( an all star band consisting of Muddy Waters, Otis Span, Donald ‘Duck” Dunn, Sam Lay, Paul Butterfield, and Michael Bloomfield)
Rahsaan Roland Kirk (live)
George Benson (live)
Wes Montgomery
Carmen Mcrae (live)
Etta James (live)
Ella Fitzgerald (live)
Billie Holiday (live)
Bobby Bland (live)
B.B. King (live)
Johnnie Taylor
Tyrone Davis
Junior Walker (live)
Buddy Guy (live)
Oscar Petersen (live)
Moe Koffman (live)
Lighthouse (live)
The Crusaders
Blind JohnDavis (live)
The Spitfire Big Band (live)
The Nylons (live)
The Guess Who (live)
Gordon Lightfoot (live)
The Dillards (live)
Jimmy Cliff (live)
Cleo Laine (live)
Joe Williams (live)
Duke Ellington (live)
Count Basie (live)
Ronnie Hawkins

Aspire XC-866; i3-9100; UHD 630; 8 GB ram; 1TB HDD

In Linux, newer isn't always better. The best solution is the one that works.
