Eadwine Rose, your phone is Android based?

Yes, then give Osmand a chance.
OSM based, updated more than all others .
Take the Fdroid Version "Osmand~" , itś like osmand+ , but without payment and no restrictions of free version.
Lot of features, not so easy in the first moment, like MX for me ;-)

So Zebra will always find the right way ;-)
they called him, the fish!

I have emailed my occupational therapist. She has started the training with me on the disability scooter, went along on the first ride and such.

She asked me to just go drive around and to pinpoint problem areas. Well.. the one area where I see problems arising is the train station in the next big city. There is a disability ramp there that gives me the heebie jeebies.

So.. I have mailed her just now (she has read it already) and I will call in tomorrow to ask if we can go there. If I can conquer that (in my eyes) behemoth I can conquer pretty much anything with the scooter.

Here are three google maps screenies of the ramp in question. It is a hair pin. So.. straight up, tight turn, another straight up.

Last straight section, a bit hard to see:

I hope she'll do it, as that place scares me to be honest. I have to leave in time to go there of course, but our appointment is at 12:15 so there is plenty of time for me to call in, make sure, and to leave. If you hear anyone yelling around 12:30 it'll be me. Either because I made it to the top, or because I am stuck

Hahaha! I might just do that.

Meanwhile I was confronted with a concoction that they use at some trainstations here. Trust me, this scooter pictured is smaller than the one I have (which is within regulations still thank goodness).

Lo and behold.. the corner ramp....

I purchased some pylons recently, I think I might have to use them to learn to turn THIS tightly, I mean what the he double hockey sticks folks!

Can't wait until you get a walker with creepy animal legs from Boston Dynamics! Maybe they'll put a nice huggable furry coat on those, along with googly eyes, to prevent the otherwise non-stop hysterics of children upon sighting one of those.
