Open Bangla software
Re: Open Bangla software
I installed the deb and ibus, but how do you get the xfce keyboard settings to show ibus as an entry method?
Re: Open Bangla software
Sir I cannot remember that. How can I find it out?Stevo wrote: ↑Thu Jun 06, 2019 5:47 pm Did you have to restart ibus to get it to work as the directions say?
I could try adding it to a postinst script so the deb installation does that automatically.Code: Select all
ibus restart
Re: Open Bangla software
If user has no idea and yet it is working, I would guess that the answer to your question is: NO.

Well, I have made what I think is a duplicate of that deb from the source, so I'll send it up to the test repo. (Actually, it's already there as "avro").
It's also here for now: https://drive.google.com/open?id=1yHb2x ... NSU9aXgixI

I got an error when I tried to run it, but was able to open it and find the download:
wget https://github.com/maateen/avro/release ... -3_all.deb
Gdebi says that package will install. There is source code available for that: https://github.com/maateen/avro/releases
Not sure if this is what OP wants.
তোমাকে অসংখ্য ধন্যবাদ!
Re: Open Bangla software
You tried what? Did you download the deb file as I wrote above? If not, open a terminal and paste this inThen go to your Downloads folder and click on the deb file.
I just tried the command and it still works to download the deb file.
Code: Select all
wget "https://github.com/maateen/avro/releases/download/v2.1/avro_2.1-3_all.deb"

Re: Open Bangla software
Now we have some actual information and can try to solve this.
First: I confirm the dependency failure ibus-qt4 on MX-19.1
Second: that app is missing in all Debian versions after Stretch (Debian 9). I tried to install the Stretch version but it has dependency problems as well.
Best you do with this (unless there is another method all together) is to post in the Package Request forum for MX-19, and see if the Packagers have a way to get around it.
