bomi

#1 Post by mikhail21393 »

Code: Select all

bomi is a multimedia player formerly known as CMPlayer, which is aimed for easy usage but also provides various powerful features and convenience functions. Just install and enjoy it! There will be already what you expect. If you don't like, you can configure almost everything.

I'd like to request bomi media player on MX-16/Debian and I know I may sound picky since I've used it on Arch Linux, but I'd like to see the package here on MX community repository.

Is it possible?

Thanks

Since there is an Ubuntu ppa for this, it's likely to be possible. I'll have a look.

Bomi 0.9.11 is now available in the MX-15 testing repository
http://forum.mxlinux.org/viewtopic.php? ... 53#p405664
Use the Test Repo Installer in MX-Tools to install it.

From now on known as: Install from Test Repo--I think that's a good change.

Good looking, but it can't play one of DO's videos or anything else from YT that I gave it. VLC does fine.

I just went to D_O's channel, did right-click->copy link location on a couple of his videos, pasted them into the Open URL box in Bomi and it played them just fine. I wonder what the difference was...
edit:
Oh! I just remembered. youtube-dl is a Recommends:, not a Depends:. Do you have it installed?

Thanks to the uploader for the request for the program! I am grateful!

But I have an issue when I try to exit fullscreen and there is a workaround but it's temporary.

It might have something to do with qt5. What do you think?
