Lyx Version 2.2.0 released.

#21 Post by Gordon Cooper »

Have just been advised that Lyx 2.2.0 - replacing the rc version - has just been released. Would appreciate an upgrade in the repos. No hurry. Thanks.

I just started on it Gordon and it should be up to Tim in a bit.
The last (rc) one got built as a lyx2.2. The new one will be lyx-2.2.0.

Been ploughing through the release notes. Think that I will be running this in parallel with Lyx 2.1.x for a while. There are many changes and improvements including more
multi language support, but possibly a few hidden bugs too.

I just got it built to be a replacement for lyx-2.1. I can rebuild it as a newer lyx2.20. You won't be able to run it in parallel the way I have it now. You pick, No biggie, here to serve or swerve  - mike

Thanks Mike. Don't change, I can install it on to another copy of MX on a separate partition for trials. Effectively a parallel method using duplicates of the data files.
Will probably have to fiddle the dependencies anyway.
