@dimzev,
Welcome to the forum.
You seem to be having unusual problems in your 3 posts, so far.

We will need some information about your computer. Find the Quick System Information in the menu, click on it, then open a new reply under this topic, click in the new post, then right click and Insert or Paste.

Also, tell us which version you have installed.

regards, Richard.

In MX 18.3, the current stable version, there are already installed a PDF reader that should open PDF files by default.

Ok, my eyes are open. I see you are using antiX.

For that you'll need to run, in a terminal,

Code: Select all

inxi -Fxzr
copy the output, open a post to the forum, click on the
[ code ] paste the output here between [ /code ]
without the spaces within the brackets,
which greatly enhances readability of the data.

In your data above it says you are running:

System:
Host: antix1 Kernel: 4.9.160-antix.2-486-smp i686 bits: 32 compiler: gcc v: 6.3.0

Your system is capable of running 64-bit according to the HP specs I looked at. I recommend trying 64-bit from a LiveUSB to test it out. Personally I prefer sticking with 64-bit if at all possible. Many 32-bit apps are going away. 32-bit is all but gone.... sorry.

btw :welcome:
