When mixing up the Neptune and the antiX repo (i wanna try Neptune on an env outside systemd), but there aren’t any installable packages for the Plasma shell, note i don’t have Debian main repo.

The Neon repo you enabled is based on bionic, ie a Ubuntu release, so that might be stumbling block number 1.......
Desktop: Intel i5-4460, 16GB RAM, Intel integrated graphics
Clevo N130WU-based Ultrabook: Intel i7-8550U (Kaby Lake R), 16GB RAM, Intel integrated graphics (UEFI)
ASUS X42D laptop: AMD Phenom II, 6GB RAM, Mobility Radeon HD 5400

Neon repos are never going to work on antiX or MX. The lack of systemd could be stumbling block #2 as well. If you're keen to make a horrible mess by adding Plasma 5.12 to antiX, Neptune OS has rebuilt it to be compatible with Stretch and that might be installable. But seriously you would be better off just using Neon or some other distro which supports KDE Plasma 5 natively.

From their use of "my repo" my understanding is that hd_scania is Neon dev and is looking to see how to get Neon to work on a non-systemd distro. This sounds like a great idea but as others have said we don't support the use of foreign repos in MX. Our distro is based on Debian but it is not Debian, and it is certainly not Ubuntu, especially when it comes to repos.

Instead of encouraging or supporting the use of foreign repos, we have a thread where users can ask us to backport packages for them: Development Community Repository (CR) Package Requests / Status. I admit this may not be a practical solution for KDE Neon testing. It would be wonderful if Neon ran on MX! But I doubt we will break out development model to make that happen. Is there any chance the "tidying up" could take place on the Neon side?

Yes i think so, now have changed the /etc/apt/sources.list like below, no auth issues are, but still unable to install the Plasma shell

Code: Select all

deb http://nl.mxrepo.com/antix/testing testing dev main nosystemd
deb https://download.neptuneos.com/repos/neptune5/repo-kde/ buster main
deb https://download.neptuneos.com/repos/neptune5/repo/ buster main
deb-src http://nl.mxrepo.com/antix/testing testing dev main nosystemd
deb-src https://download.neptuneos.com/repos/neptune5/repo-kde/ buster main
deb-src https://download.neptuneos.com/repos/neptune5/repo/ buster main

Have a browse around that repo. I don't think the buster section is populated yet.
